Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Rinse cranberries in a colander and discard any bruised or spoiled berries.

In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.

Add the cranberries and boil for about 10 minutes. Take off heat and let sit covered for about 30 minutes.

Transfer into a serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. The sauce tastes great if made one day ahead!
